So little Amelia is now 11 weeks old and my hair has finally finished its glorious, luscious run that it does for me during pregnancy. I thought this might happen again and so I’m a little more ready this time round. It starts with me noticing my hair becomes a little more oilier than usual…and then it starts to shed which is what’s happening now – shock horror! It feels a bit weird but I guess my hair has to get back into its normal rhythm again after childbirth. This time I’m going to try a new product that I discovered on Pinterest: Grow New Hair Treatment from Just Natural. I’ve seen some good posts about it and so I’m going to give it a try. I mean, it can’t do any harm right.

Let’s save my hair 🙂

A few other things I have in my arsenal are some clip-in hair extensions. I’ve tried them a couple of times and I’ll probably give them bit more of a go from time to time…but it’s really when I have the time to do it properly. Hey who knows, maybe I’ll get better at it and enjoy it more…will keep trying and see how I feel. I see loads of women online using hair extensions and they seem really comfortable so maybe it will get easier.

In order to deal with the oiliness, I’m using plain old cornflour to absorb some of the oil and it works great, looks great, is super cheap AND a very healthy alternative to dry shampoo which is packed full of all sorts of chemicals I don’t want to know about. If you have darker hair, you just add some cacao powder to the mix…and you’re hair will smell edible, quite literally 😉 I just bought a spice shaker and added the cornflour…and refill it when I need more. It’s great for my ‘less is more’ life philosophy I’m working on at the moment too.

Well lovely people, I hope you like my hairstyle for today: my messy top knot. Great for 2nd or 3rd day hair. I got the idea for this hair style today from Missy Sue Blog’s Instagram page  She has some great tutorials online if you want to check her out. I do love doing my hair these days and actually I probably always have enjoyed it…I guess I just got a little lazy over the years but I’ve found inspiration again. Maybe having kids has made me want to be interested in it again and I’m really enjoying it.
